If your raw water hardness is over 5 GPG*, an additional stage must be added to your Reverse Osmosis System. It consists of a special cartridge called a "Descaler", which must be replaced anually.

If your water is supplied by a municipality, it is generally sanitized with chlorine. We include a special high-capacity GAC* second stage in your Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System. This would ensure that no chlorine reached the Reverse Osmosis Membrane.

For several reasons.
1. If you have an ice maker/chiller, you'll want to provide pure water to the refrigerator as well. You'll need our "Frige Kit", which contains all the connectors and R/O grade tubing you'll need to connect your
Reverse Osmosis System to your refrigerator.
2. You might also want to consider an additional "Storage Vessel". People with ice makers and chilled water dispensers use much more beverage water than those without.
